I started my nursing career in Pennsylvania at Geisinger Medical Center school of nursing and Penn State University. After working a few years in ICU/CCU, I was recruited to the Winchester area by Winchester Medical Center to work in the Cardiac Intensive Care unit, then spent the next 10 years in the Neonatal ICU. During this time, I completed my master’s degree in nursing at Shenandoah University and was certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. For the past 11 years I have worked in outpatient Neurology, treating patients with a variety of conditions including multiple sclerosis, memory loss, sleep disorders and migraine headaches. During this time, I have gained invaluable experience diagnosing and caring for patients with complex medical conditions alongside a knowledgeable team of health care providers.
I have always had a passion for disease prevention and health promotion with special interest in healthy aging. In 2017 I received my certification in Plant Based Nutrition from Cornell University and am working toward my functional medicine degree through IFM (Institute of Functional Medicine). I believe in an individualized approach to care that promotes wellness as well as treats disease. I am board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) and licensed by the state of Virginia to provide autonomous, family-centered healthcare to patients of all ages.
